RESEARCH PRODUCT: Santanderean Context - A Didactic Sequence to Improve English Learning Processes in Eleventh-Grade Students

This research project aimed to improve English learning processes by integrating Santander’s cultural identity into a didactic sequence. Implemented with 11th-grade students at the Gabriel García Márquez Institute in Floridablanca, the study explored how cultural relevance and active methodologies could enhance students’ linguistic and intercultural competencies. What Was Investigated? The study analyzed how connecting English learning to Santander’s traditions, landscapes, and values could make the process more meaningful and engaging for students. The sequence included activities like role-playing, storytelling, grammar exercises, and a final cultural fair.
